The Disney+ Twitter feed has had quite the morning. It tweeted out images of every title coming to the streaming service on November 12. That’s right folks, here’s the official list!
Just ahead of the release of the massive “Battle of Winterfell” episode of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” the Geeks gathered to pen their own dead pool list.
Consider this: a group of geeks sitting around postulating on a certain topic.
This week, while the Geeks are away, join Marty, and old but new Geek, Mike, as they cut their way through the upcoming horde of TV nostalgia reboot faire.
Look, Geeks. Sooner or later, there’s gonna be a “Game of Thrones”-shaped hole in the TV schedule and creators are hustling to position themselves as the next can’t-miss fantasy drama. “Kingkiller Chronicle” is in development, Robert Jordan’s “Wheel of Time” is moving forward…and now the field is joined by “The Black Company” – Glen Cook’s dark fantasy/ military epic following an elite mercenary group in a world rich with intrigue and violence. Whedon-verse alum Eliza Dushku (“Buffy”, “Angel”, “Dollhouse”, and CBS’s “Bull”) will star in the pivotal role of the The Lady – a dark sorceress who joins the the Black Company. Five by five, says I.
This week, Marty and Aaron team up to discuss the awesome new Thor: Ragnarok trailer, Star Wars Celebration and some twisty tangents that touch on Bill and Ted, Aaron Sorkin, Dr. Who and horror movies from back in the day. Will Aaron pen the Jay and Silent Bob v. Bill and Ted crossover event? Which geek property does Marty think would be a shoe in for their own annual Celebration? Will the impending thunderstorm put the kaybash on this week’s podcast? Find out on Geeks with Kids!
This week, Aaron, Mark, James, and returning Geek, Marty, explore how the depths of their geek appreciation may not reconcile with their beliefs and how such contradictions could influence their kids. Will Marty find salvation in the West Wing? Which games will Mark not lay his hands on? Will James deliver his thoughts on Watchmen and Arrow? Is Aaron prepared for the reckoning of children vs. the buried horror movies in the basement? Find out this week on Geeks with Kids!
Marvel Studios has released a new TV spot for the upcoming “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2”.
